My two-week solo trip to Israel and Palestine has now become the most fascinating place I have ever visited. In this first installment (of four), I talk with many open-minded Israelis about everything from the gay scene in Tel Aviv to finding a good sahlav. I also successfully managed my way into asking about more tense topics like passport stamps between conflicting countries, the mandatory military service in Israel, and the occupation in Palestine.
